AsiaFest '24 Celebrates 20th Anniversary in Plano, Texas

The Plano Asian American Heritage Festival marks the beginning of Asian American Heritage Week

The 20th Annual Plano Asian American Heritage Festival, AsiaFest ‘24, will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, marking the beginning of Asian American Heritage Week celebrations. Organized by the Celebrating Asian American Heritage Foundation, a non-profit volunteer-based organization, the festival will unfold at Haggard Park in historic downtown Plano, adding cultural vibrancy to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

The festival promises an engaging lineup of family-friendly cultural performances showcasing various facets of Asian heritage, including visual art, calligraphy, martial arts, origami and fashion. In an official statement, it is announced that the Plano City Council will officially declare Saturday, May 4, 2024, as AsiaFest Day in Plano, underscoring the festival's significance within the local community.

AsiaFest ‘24 will also feature diverse culinary offerings, including food vendors from local restaurants and food trucks. Moreover, the festivities extend beyond a single day, with Plano AsiaFest '24 currently hosting a month-long art exhibition at the Courtyard Theater lobby from April 8 through May 16, 2024.

According to the official statement, the festival serves as a platform to celebrate and preserve Asian culture and heritage in the region. "Plano AsiaFest is a longstanding cultural festival in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, celebrating our culture and heritage through performances, food and art."
