Fiendish fun at Haunt Jaunt

Last Saturday October 17th, the City of Plano opened this year’s Halloween festivities with the Haunt Jaunt, 5K and 1-Mile Halloween-themed run at Oak Point Park.

The gruesome gathering point was the Oak Point Park amphiteatre were jailbait, minions and pirates mixed with the demons of the night and enjoyed pre-run festivities.

But as bewitching hour approached… the fiendish fun kicked off with the 1-Mile Fun Run and Costume Parade, while the 5K race started after dark- just in time to awaken the dead!

Along the picturesque paved trails of the Oak Point Park nature reserve runners encountered zombies, pumpkin fiends and even a graveyard haunted by the Plano Dance Theatre whose gruesome dance moves were among one of the horrifying highlights of the evening.
