Magical. Celebrating the start of Christmas in Downtown Plano

HO HO HOLIDAYS! On Friday December 4 2015, the start of the holiday season was officially inaugurated. Dickens in Historic Downtown Plano, hosted annually by the City of Plano saw hundreds upon hundreds of Planoites flock to the newly revived artistic heart of our city.

While the cobbles of 15th St. buzzed with stands, stalls and merriment, Plano Mayor Harry LaRosielle led the tree lighting ceremony in Haggard Park.

Throughout the evening, the Plano community enjoyed feasting on a variety of different tasty snacks and beverages on sale from downtown Plano’s popular restaurants: Urban Crust, Cajun Tailgators, Jorg’s Café Vienna, Angela’s at the Crosswalk Lockhart’s Smokehouse, and Ye Ole Butcher Shop.

Fun for all the family included a whole host of activities; an outdoor ice-skating rink, a photo op with Santa Claus, inflatable games, train and horse-drawn carriage rides. In addition, and throughout the evening, live entertainment was provided by talented local musicians.
