Plano Arts and Events have officially announced the highly anticipated return of Texas Forever Fest on Saturday, March 23. The festival will once again celebrate Texas culture through live music, culinary treats and engaging activities.
Taking place in Downtown Plano’s Haggard Park, the free, family-friendly event promises a day filled with entertainment and community spirit.
Set to perform are a variety of Southern music acts such as George Dunham, The Selfless Lovers and headliner Wade Bowen, all of whom will surely get everyone’s toes tapping throughout the day.
In addition to the concerts, the festival offers a wide variety of things to do and see that should appeal to everyone, including art displays, a trick roper, quick-shot cowboy shows, along with mechanical bull rides for thrill-seekers.
This year’s festival features a slew of vendors, shops and food trucks that will be selling Lone Star State-inspired items, including the return of local favorites Tumbleweed TexStyles, Fletcher’s Corny Dogs and Ye Ole Butcher Shop.
Festival-goers looking to wet their whistles will have plenty of opportunities to do so. The event has once again partnered with Texas Whiskey Festival to offer local whiskey samples for guests (with purchase of a ticket). The festival will also feature a beer tent, as well as several nonalcoholic beverages that are available throughout the event.
“The city of Plano is proud to throw a free party for all of our residents,” said Plano Mayor John Muns. “The third annual Texas Forever Fest will be bigger and better than ever. What a great way for our diverse community to come together, show their Texas pride and have a great day of fun.”
Texas Forever Fest organizers urge attendees to stay tuned to Plano Arts and Events' social media channels for future updates regarding the upcoming festival.
