HO HO HO and a Merry Christmas! On Saturday, December 12, more than 2,000 Santas came out to play for Santa Run Texas, the largest Santa gathering in the Lone Star State! And we Plano Profile magazine were there to take part in the action.
As official media sponsor of the event, Plano Profile magazine teamed up with Vignette Mobile Studio to bring a fun “photo booth in a van” experience to the festivities…And what fun we all had! We welcomed Santas of all shapes and sizes who piled into the retro-fitted 1971 VW van to take all kinds of silly self portraits. Scroll down to see the full gallery of snaps below!
Elsewhere in the Santa Run arena, the event was a great success! Officially inaugurated with a drive-by that saw Santa in a stylish Jaguar sleigh (sponsored by Park Place Plano), more than 2,000 participants took part in this fun and festive gathering which included a 5K run and a 1-mile walk. Funds raised go to the #HIPsters (Hugely Important People) at My Possibilities in Plano, a full day continued learning program for adults with disabilities (Autism, Down Syndrome, Asperger’s Syndrome, Prader-Willi, head injuries, etc.) in North Texas. In fact, the organization is the FIRST full day, full year continuing education program in Collin County for disabled Texans who have “aged out” of secondary education.
Congratulations to My Possibilities for hosting a fabulous event—we’re already looking forward to next year! And a big thank you to Vignette Mobile Studio for joining Plano Profile on this adventure!
