Chído Taco Lounge To Open Second Location In Dallas, Texas

The new location will feature a members-only tequila lounge and a diverse taco menu

Chído Taco Lounge, a popular Frisco destination for tacos and tequila, will open a new location in Dallas on May 24, 2024, at Preston Hollow Village, located at the intersection of 75 and Walnut Hill.

The new two-story venue will feature the renowned taco and tequila offerings that have made the original location a local favorite, alongside an exclusive members-only tequila lounge named Customs.

Since its launch in 2021, Chído Taco Lounge — aptly named after the Spanish word for “cool” — has garnered a dedicated following in Frisco for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse menu. The Dallas location aims to enhance this experience, offering both classic and innovative street tacos such as chicken tinga, barbacoa, jerk chicken and Korean barbecue. In addition to tacos, the menu will include fresh soups, salads, burritos, a unique burger and birria ramen, which can be complemented with cold beers and fresh Margaritas.

However, the standout feature of the new Dallas location is Customs, the upstairs tequila lounge focusing on agave spirits, including additive-free tequilas, mezcals and other Mexican spirits. Additionally, it will offer private lockers for members to store their favorite bottles.

“After building up a loyal customer base in Frisco, we’re excited to expand our operation into Dallas and to share our concept with a new community of guests,” said Blaine McGowan, owner of Chído Taco Lounge. “We consider this new location like Chído 2.0, where our larger space will allow us to fully realize our love for agave spirits and give them the attention and spotlight they deserve.”

The grand opening celebration will take place on May 24 at 7949 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 130, in Dallas. Visit chidodfw.com for further details and to explore the menu.
