Collin College hosts the Arts Faculty Exhibition

The arts gallery faculty show

THE ARTS gallery will host THE ARTS faculty, an annual group exhibition featuring artworks by professors teaching art classes in the Fine Arts Division of Collin College. Most of the Collin art professors exhibit widely in the area. The diversity of media and styles makes this show a unique opportunity for students to learn about art courses offered at Collin, and for the public to view artwork the professors create in their own studios. Art courses offered at Collin include 2-D design, 3-D design, ceramics, communication design, digital arts, drawing, figure drawing, jewelry/art metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and watercolor.

A reception will be held, free and open to the public, from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 6. The gallery is located on Collin College’s Spring Creek Campus, Room A175.

Collin College serves nearly 52,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degrees and certificates in a wide range of disciplines. The only public college in the county, Collin College is a partner to business, government and industry, providing customized training and work force development. In addition, the college operates the Collin Higher Education Center, which serves 3,300 additional students each year in partnership with The University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Woman’s University, Texas A&M Commerce, Texas Tech and the University of North Texas.
