North Texas’ largest Oktoberfest celebration is back Sept. 18–21, when Addison Circle Park transforms into a Munich-meets-Texas festival ground. Addison Oktoberfest, presented by Paulaner, is expected to draw about 50,000 people for four days of German food, music, bier and family-friendly fun.
Entertainment Across Four Stages

The festival packs in nearly 30 musical acts. The 30,000-square-foot Partyhalle tent serves as the main hub, with seating for 1,000, a dance floor and a lineup ranging from traditional polka to party bands. Performers include Auf Geht’s, Grammy-winning accordionist Alex Meixner Band and five-time Grammy nominee LynnMarie & The Nashville Polka Guys.
Other highlights include:
- Party Zelt Tent: Acts like The Dogensteins mixing polka and rock and Graceland Ninjaz covering decades of hits.
- Texas Prost Stage: Bands such as Los Gran Reyes bring German sounds with Texas flair.
- Kleinhalle Stage: Singer-songwriters offer a cool break from the polka crowds.
A Glockenspiel performance, complete with chiming bells and a balcony skit, will also bring a touch of Bavarian theater to Addison.

Interactive Attractions
Beyond the music, guests will find entertainment around every corner. A carousel greets visitors at the entrance, while the Kidsgarten keeps young festivalgoers busy with crafts, a Root Biergarten and a mini stein-holding competition.
For those wanting to dance, the Stiefel Studio silent disco lets you groove to a DJ’s beats with wireless headphones. The Karneval midway features rides like a ferris wheel and festival games. Retro arcade fans can head to Biercadia for free play on classics like Pac-Man and Guitar Hero.
Bier Games and Competitions
Festival competitions add a playful edge. At Bierspiele Stadium, stein-carrying and barrel-rolling contests test skill and strength, while Biergarten Bingo offers lighter fun. The Masskrugstemmen stein-hoisting event challenges participants to see who can hold a full liter the longest.
Sunday brings “Hund-Day,” when dogs in Oktoberfest outfits parade for prizes. The Dachshund Dash returns with 100 dogs racing for the coveted Golden Dachshund trophy.

Food and Drink
On the menu: bratwurst, schnitzel, sausage plates, strudel and German desserts like Black Forest Cake and lebkuchen cookies. Texas fair food like funnel cakes and smashburgers join the mix.
Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr, two of the six Munich breweries allowed to pour at Oktoberfest in Germany, will provide authentic German bier. Selections include Oktoberfest Märzen, Hefe-Weizen, Pils and Radlers. The Texas Zwei Step area will also spotlight local craft breweries.
