Helping Veterans: Folds Of Honor North Texas Celebrates $1 Million Milestone

At the 2025 North Texas Golf Classic on May 21, Folds of Honor North Texas announced a major philanthropic milestone: McLane Company Inc. surpassed $1 million in cumulative donations to the organization.

The recent golf tournament, where McLane served as the title sponsor, served as a symbolic capstone for years of ongoing contributions.

Investing in Education for Military and First Responder Families

McLane’s support enabled the Folds of Honor North Texas chapter to award 200 educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled military members and first responders.

“Through McLane’s generosity, we have been able to provide 200 scholarships for spouses and children of fallen or disabled military members and first responders, giving them the opportunity to pursue higher education, build brighter futures and honor the legacies of those who serve our nation,” said Mike Beltz, Board Chair of Folds of Honor North Texas.

The scholarships fund a broad range of education, from private school tuition and K-12 tutoring to college, trade school and even postgraduate programs such as law or medical school.

Honoring All Who Serve

Folds of Honor, founded in 2007, has awarded over 62,000 scholarships nationwide. While it began with a focus on military families, the organization has expanded in recent years to include families of first responders, further deepening its impact and reach.

Through partners like McLane, the North Texas chapter continues to grow its mission of remembrance and support, ensuring that the legacies of those who serve are not only honored, but carried forward through education and opportunity.

A Shared Mission of Service and Legacy

McLane has been a key partner since 2016, contributing steadily through a mix of philanthropic campaigns and community events, culminating in this impactful moment of recognition.

“McLane is proud to support Folds of Honor and its important mission to honor the sacrifices and support the education of our nation’s heroes’ legacy," said McLane President Susan Adzick. "This milestone reflects the collaboration and generosity of our teammates and partners. We look forward to continuing our meaningful and impactful partnership in the years to come.”
