On Sept. 18, North Texas will once again showcase its giving spirit with North Texas Giving Day 2025. The annual event, hosted by Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT), has grown into the largest community-wide giving day in the nation. Last year alone, the effort raised nearly $70 million for 3,200 local nonprofits.
With thousands of nonprofits participating, donors can easily explore causes that matter most to them and make an impact. Beyond raising money, the effort strengthens connections between neighbors and reinforces a culture of giving throughout North Texas.
Reaching Across The Region
The initiative, now in its 17th year, spans 20 counties, supporting nonprofits in more than 25 cause areas — from animal welfare to healthcare, education and the arts. Cities across North Texas, including Allen, Dallas, Denton, Frisco, Irving, Keller and Lewisville, have recognized the day through official proclamations, underscoring its regional importance.
Giving officially opens on Aug. 28 and ends on Sept. 18 with online donations and in-person community events.

Record-Breaking Support
Last year’s North Texas Giving Day was a record-breaker. More than $68.3 million was contributed to over 3,000 nonprofits, with the help of thousands of donors, community partners and local businesses. CFT also tapped into the star power of its Champions of Giving initiative, enlisting athletes and media personalities to boost awareness and encourage contributions.
World Series Champion and Texas Rangers first baseman Nathaniel Lowe served as a Giving Day Ambassador, joining players and legends from the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, Dallas Mavericks, FC Dallas and Dallas Wings in rallying support. The sports community’s involvement gave the fundraiser an extra push, energizing donors and spreading the word across social media and beyond.
Looking Ahead To 2025
With momentum building, North Texas Giving Day 2025 is expected to be another milestone for local philanthropy. Leading up to Sept. 18, CFT and its partners will host community gatherings across the region, designed to connect donors with nonprofits and highlight causes that matter most to North Texans.
Residents across Collin, Denton, Dallas, Tarrant and nearby counties see the event as more than a giving opportunity. It serves as a celebration of the generosity that defines North Texas.
