It’s official: Gleneagles Country Club’s own Brandon Bingaman is going to the big leagues — again. The Plano-based assistant golf professional has qualified for the 2025 PGA Championship, set for May 15–18 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
From Club Pro To Major Player
Bingaman earned his spot in dramatic fashion, finishing tied for fifth at this week’s PGA Professional Championship in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Out of a massive field (or should I say green) of 312 players, the top 20 scorers earned exemptions into the PGA Championship and a place on the prestigious Corebridge Financial Team. Bingaman didn’t just sneak in — he stormed the leaderboard.
Coming into the final round in eighth place, he needed to stay inside the top 20 to punch his ticket to Charlotte. He did that and then some.
This won’t be Bingaman’s first time teeing it up at a major. He previously qualified for the PGA Championship in 2022 at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Now, three years later, he’s back — more seasoned, more confident and ready to take on the world’s best.
“We couldn’t be more proud to cheer him on as he represents Gleneagles like a champ,” Gleneagles Country Club posted on social media after the results became official.
More Big Wins For Bingaman
Bingaman’s been on a tear lately. In 2023, he was named Northern Texas PGA Player of the Year and won the NTPGA PPC Championship. He also holds titles as the 2017 National Car Rental Colorado Assistants Champion and a 2022 PGA Team of 20 member.
Next Stop: Quail Hollow
The 2025 PGA Championship will be the second time Quail Hollow Club hosts the event, following a successful showing in 2017. The tournament is one of the four majors in men’s professional golf and consistently draws the toughest competition of the year.
