Addison is about to get a big-league addition to its entertainment lineup. Batbox, an immersive baseball simulator, is set to open in September. The Addison location will span 13,000 square feet, blending high-energy baseball gameplay with a lively social atmosphere. Think Topgolf, but for baseball.
Using Strikezon technology, the space will feature 10 batting bays, each capable of hosting up to 18 players. Guests can play three, six or nine-inning games, compete in home run derbies or test their arms in pitching and batting challenges.
Beyond The Batting Cages
Batbox is designed as more than just a sports simulator, it’s a social hub. The Addison venue will include a premium sports bar with VIP booths, communal seating, and multi-screen viewing for game days. The idea is to merge the excitement of baseball with the camaraderie of a night out.
"While baseball enjoys a rich history and a passionate fan base, there has been a significant gap in immersive, interactive experiences that rejuvenate the sport,” Craig Winning, COO of Batbox, said in an official statement. "Batbox addresses this gap by offering a fun and exciting alternative, providing a fresh approach for both baseball enthusiasts and entertainment fans alike."

The menu will take cues from America’s favorite pastime, with elevated versions of classic stadium eats. From craft hot dogs to upscale ballpark favorites, the dining program aims to deliver an experience that feels both familiar and fresh. On the beverage side, guests can expect chef-inspired cocktails, local craft beers and inventive non-alcoholic options.
Batbox recently secured $3 million in new funding from Emerging, a capital growth fund focused on restaurant and entertainment concepts. The investment brings Batbox’s total funding to more than $10 million as the company accelerates its U.S. expansion.
From Mexico To Major League Markets
Founded in Mexico in 2019, Batbox quickly grew from a novel concept to a venture-backed brand with global ambitions. The company raised $7.3 million in Series A funding earlier this year, fueling its push into the U.S. market. Addison marks one of the first steps in that journey, with plans for more than 25 locations in key baseball cities, including Dallas, Houston and Boston.

For Addison residents, it means a chance to swing for the fences without leaving town while enjoying food, drinks and sports in a whole new way.
