From Tallenette To Miss Texas: Taylor Davis Visits Allen ISD Schools

The former Tallenette led her “Hail Mary” workshop, encouraging young dancers to build confidence and support each other

Miss Texas USA Taylor Davis returned to her hometown schools this month, leading confidence-building workshops with students at Allen High School and Ereckson Middle School.

Davis, a former Allen High School Tallenette, shared her “Hail Mary” workshop, a program designed to introduce the S.M.A.R.T. goal method while encouraging positive self-image and peer support. The session gave current dance students a chance to hear directly from someone who once stood in their shoes.

From Tallenette To Miss Texas USA

The visit carried extra meaning for Davis, who once performed as a Tallenette in the 2016 Rose Parade. According to the official statement, she has often credited that experience with helping her build discipline, stage presence and resilience — skills she continues to use in her career today.

Her journey since graduating high school has been wide-ranging. Davis earned a degree from Howard University, served as a campus queen, and now works as a Social Media Analyst for the National Football League, where she tracks engagement trends and creator content.

Mentorship At The Core

Beyond her professional role, Davis has made mentorship a cornerstone of her work. Through programs like “Hail Mary,” she focuses on helping young women set goals, find confidence and support one another.
