North Texas’ largest multicultural event has something for everyone — from music and dance performances to food trucks, children’s activities, an art exhibit, cultural displays and even health and wellness services. This cultural celebration takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, in downtown Plano’s Haggard Park. Free admission and parking make it the perfect family outing.
The festival offers a wellness fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free screenings for blood pressure, vision and dental health, coordination and balance, and other health indicators plus free mammograms for pre-screened participants. Free children’s flu shots and adult COVID-19 boosters will be available, and everyone can participate in mini fitness classes for yoga, pilates and more. There will also be a blood drive, CPR lessons, free personal hygiene bags and other services — all at no charge.

On the festival’s main stage, local cultural groups will share their unique music and dance traditions with performances from Asia to the Americas. An international fashion show will feature traditional attire from around the world.
Along the winding pathways of Haggard Park, visitors can browse cultural booths with art and handicrafts from global cultures while shopping for special treasures. Many local nonprofit and civic groups will educate visitors about free services and classes such as ESL. Kids will also get a special festival passport to get stamped at the country booths.
More educational activities await children in the STEAM area and Global Village, which feature hands-on demos and activities related to science, technology, engineering, art and math from the Plano Public Library, the Perot Museum and others.
Food trucks will offer ethnic specialties and classic festival favorites. When finished eating, participants are encouraged to sort their waste at special stations that help reduce the event’s environmental impact. The festival is a zero-waste event and has won numerous awards for its comprehensive program.
