The McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) announced it will award $80,395 in promotional and community event grants to support a diverse slate of events designed to promote tourism, boost local businesses and enrich community life across McKinney.
From parades and food festivals to theater performances and art workshops, the grants will help nonprofits and event organizers expand their reach through targeted advertising and marketing support, making McKinney more vibrant and visible in the process.
“These projects align directly with MCDC strategic priorities and our mission to work as a partner to fund community, cultural and economic development projects in McKinney,” said MCDC Board Chair Angela Richardson-Woods in an official statement. “We’re especially excited that many of the events will take place at locations where MCDC has invested through our project grants — Chestnut Square, MPAC, city hall plaza, TUPPS, downtown McKinney and District 121.”

Whether it’s a festive downtown parade or a neighborhood plant sale, each funded event is a thread in the city’s cultural fabric.
With events spread across multiple venues and seasons, McKinney residents and visitors can look forward to a calendar full of activity.
