Splash Pads Officially Open In Frisco, Texas

Hours run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily

As of May 15, 2024, Frisco’s splash pads are now open. Grab some sunscreen and snacks and let the kiddos enjoy some time outdoors.

Frisco boasts three conveniently situated splash parks spread throughout the city. Operating hours run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, though closures might occur due to water restrictions, maintenance, or chilly weather.

Frisco Commons Spray Park
8000 McKinney Rd, Frisco

Frisco Commons Spray Park is part of Frisco Commons Park, home to one of Frisco's best playgrounds, Hope Park. Frisco Commons Park also includes a beautiful pond and trail as well as the Frisco Veterans Memorial.

J.R. Newman Splash Pad

Because this splash pad is smaller than some of the others on this list, it’s less likely to attract crowds, making it a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours cooling off. To activate the spray features, touch the sensor located at the top of a blue pillar on the southern portion of the splash pad. 

Shepherds Glen Splash Pad
12012 Shepherds Hill Drive, Frisco

This Frisco splash pad is part of Shepherd’s Glen park, which also includes a shaded pavilion, playground, practice field and walking trail. To activate the water features, touch the sensor located at the top of a blue pillar on the western area of the splash pad.

Splash Pad Rules

  • No running in the splash pad area.
  • Plastic containers only, glass is prohibited.
  • Animals are not allowed within 75 feet of splash pads, playground or pavilions.
  • Rubber sole shoes only. Water shoes are strongly recommended.
  • Do not climb on the splash pad equipment.
  • Appropriate swimwear is required. Swim diapers are required for young children who are not potty trained.
  • No bicycles, skateboards or skates are allowed on the splash pad.
  • Each splash pad has a pavilion, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The pavilions cannot be reserved.

All splash pads will remain open through Sept. 30, weather permitting.
