Make a Calendar The summer is hot, long and exhausting. There’s no way you can go to the zoo, the aquarium or Six Flags every day. Save your energy—and your sanity—by creating an activity calendar. Here’s a basic template to get you started.

Summer is upon us and that means it’s time for outdoor fun. Plano Parks and Recreation is ready to host any and all at its outdoor pools this summer. They will be open Memorial Day weekend.

This year was the second year my family and I attended the Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie and we loved it. We’re probably go again next year.

Attending the The Greater Plano Kiwanis Club Annual Butterfly Festival at The Shops at Willow Bend was one of the best things I did with my toddler last year. When the festival returns from May 4 to May 13 we’ll absolutely be going again.

On Saturday, March 31, Plano’s Heritage Farmstead Museum will host its 8th annual Victorian Eggstravaganza and Spring Festival.

“We’re not a zoo, we’re an interactive park,” says Scott Edwards, owner at Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch in Pilot Point, Texas.

Spring into the season and save the date for LOCAL, an open air market at Highland Park Village. LOCAL will take place monthly from March to June with the first date set for Saturday, March 24.

Crayola Experience Plano, Texas’s newest and most colorful family destination, will open at The Shops at Willow Bend on Friday, March 23. The crayon-wrapper ribbon-cutting will be held at 9:45 a.m.
