A new craft brewery is coming to Denton, as Union Bear Brewing Co., a leading brewery and restaurant based in Plano, makes the city its second home. The first step in their expansion is a new production brewing facility which will be located a block off the Downtown Square at 221 S. Bell Ave, and will open on Feb. 1.
This expansion marks a significant milestone for Union Bear as it continues to grow its presence in the vibrant craft beer scene.

Union Bear Brewing Co.’s new Denton location will serve as a production brewing and packaging hub. The location will feature state-of-the-art brewing equipment as Union Bear sets up to offer a diverse range of ales and lagers. While the brewing production is underway, Union Bear Brewing Co. plans to open its second brewpub in Denton in late spring of 2024.
Housed within the same 18,000 square foot facility, Union Bear will present a 6,000 square foot restaurant, taproom, and patio space, showcasing a diverse selection of Union Bear craftbeer and a menu crafted by the culinary team of the 33 Restaurant Group.
“The Union Bear Brewpub was founded with a vision as a community gathering place. We've had the opportunity to welcome guests from all walks of life and to get to know our regulars. Many of them have become like a second family to us, sharing the ups and downs of life," said Tanner Fleming, director of operations.
