Blue Goose Cantina was founded by Bob Peterson and Scott Holyfield, former executives of Braniff International. The dynamic duo also created the Aw Shucks brand, and with Blue Goose Cantina, they introduced a fresh twist to the Tex-Mex scene.
The name “Blue Goose” was inspired by Jill Peterson, Bob’s wife, who loved the 1942 film classic Casablanca. In the movie, the Blue Parrot was Rick’s main competitor in the nightlife scene, and from this cinematic inspiration, the best Tex-Mex restaurant in North Texas was born.
Since its establishment in 1984, Blue Goose Cantina has become synonymous with delicious made-from-scratch Mexican cuisine, delicious cocktails, exceptional service, a vibrant atmosphere and a bold, fun-loving spirit.
