Kroger makes the following recommendations:
- Make A Plan – Determine what you’re serving and how many people you’ll invite. A smaller group means a smaller bird and fewer side dishes.
- Delegate – Ask your guests to participate by bringing their favorite appetizers, side dishes or desserts.
- Size Matters – The number of guests will determine the size of your turkey. For 10 or fewer people, opt for a smaller turkey (12-14 lbs.) or consider purchasing a single turkey breast for roasting.
- Store Savings – When you shop is just as important as how you shop. Make a list of ingredients and start purchasing them in advance, as items may be on sale.
