Golf enthusiasts returned to Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney for the second year to participate in the 15th Annual HIPster Golf Classic for local non-profit, My Possibilities.
The event, presented by returning title sponsor, Scott + Reid, took place on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023. My Possibilities hosted this event to raise both awareness and support for the first-of-its-kind, full-day, full-year continuing education and job placement program for adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in North Texas.
"We strongly believe that the community we serve deserves to have a meaningful existence in life —an opportunity to learn, live and grow," said Founder and Board Chair Emeritus, Charmaine Solomon. "It takes a village to do what we do for adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. Thank you for everything that you do to support us.”
The event featured a mix of competitive golf, golf-themed games and heartfelt conversations, all centered around the common goal of empowering individuals with IDD. As a result of this event, My Possibilities raised over $110,000 to continue its vital work in enabling adults with IDD to pursue higher education and expand their possibilities.
