The deadline to nominate for both Plano Chamber’s Citizen of the Year and Best of Plano is Friday, July 8 at planochamber.org/citizenoftheyear. or planochamber.org/bestofplano.

Citizen of the Year
Someone you know in the Plano community is undoubtedly an “outstanding citizen.” Nominate them for Plano Chamber’s annual and most prestigious award, Citizen of the Year.
A Plano citizen is presented this award for his or her personal contributions over a period of years (outside of regular work duties) that are beneficial to the welfare and advancement of Plano. This personal sacrifice is typically rendered through civic or community work as well as their achievements in their chosen field of business.
The 2016 Citizen of the Year will join past honorees, such as Olin Jaye, Rebecca Egelston Caso, Dr. Myrtle Hightower, Duncan and Beth Webb, Andre’ Davidson, Florence Shapiro, among many others. Check out the past Citizen of the Year recipients at Plano Chamber’s Hall of Fame.
Best of Plano
Best of Plano awards recognize community partners, small business persons, corporate citizens, business executives and more! This year, for the first time, a thriving young professional under 40 will be given the Rising Star Award.
The best and brightest are recognized as Best of Plano at an annual awards dinner. The evening event includes awards presentations for Citizen of the Year, Fred Moses Minority Business Development Award, ATHENA Award and more to be announced. Get ready for the Best of Plano 2016, scheduled for Thursday, October 6.
