'Neath the Wreath, one of the largest annual holiday markets and gift fairs in North Texas is open this weekend from Nov. 9 to 12 at the Marriott Dallas Allen Hotel and Convention Center.
Every year, 'Neath the Wreath welcomes over 10,000 shoppers over the course of 4 days and hosts over 125 vendors that offer jewelry; apparel for men, women and children; toys; holiday and home decor; food and gourmet goodies; and more.
'Neath the Wreath is the largest fundraiser for the Junior League of Collin County (JLCC), an organization committed to "promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community."
Now its 28th year, it is the largest fundraising event for the Junior League of Collin County, helping it to raise more than $4.7 million since its inception for distribution to educational and charitable community initiatives, such as Children's Health Plano, Collin County Juvenile Probation Program, City House and Community Garden Kitchen.
The premise of Junior League of Collin County is training and educating its members as well as giving back. They offer training throughout the year, (free of charge for members), and proceeds from events like this go toward those materials, as well as for things like the ‘Done in a Day’ community projects.
