Commemorate the Year of the Dragon at the Dragon’s Den, an exclusive immersive Lunar New Year celebration within Grandscape in The Colony, Texas.

Teaming up with Dan Lam, a celebrated Vietnamese American artist known for her captivating contemporary artworks, Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant is set to unveil a dynamic Lunar New Year showcase. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the essence of the holiday, embracing its themes of power, good fortune and prosperity through Lam's vibrant creations.

The exhibit called the Dragon’s Den, features a wide array of eye-popping displays and mind-bending displays that pay homage to the Year of the Dragon. The art pieces were created by Dan Lam, a renowned Vietnamese American artist who specializes in colorful sculptures, utilizing unconventional materials to craft “blob-like” creations that appear to be melting when seen.

The main attraction of the art exhibition is the “Dragon’s Throne,” an original design that was made by Lam for the event. Utilizing an assortment of bright colors that range from pink to blue, the glorious throne sits underneath a bed of clouds and sports a scaly tail, in reference to the mythical winged creature at the center of Lunar New Year.

Throughout the exhibition’s run, visitors will get the chance to sit in the majestic throne, providing unique photo opportunities and allowing guests to engage with the “holiday's power and prosperity.”

Guests of Dragon Den will be treated to a special envelope containing a Lunar New Year blessing and a $15 voucher for The District Food Hall at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant, home to Velvet Taco, The Pit, Italia Kitchen and South Hot Chicken. They can also participate in the Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant Win & Stay Sweepstakes for a chance to win an original sculpture by Dan Lam.

The Dragon’s Den will be on display Feb. 9, 11, 16, 17 and 18 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 10 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
