There’s nothing more magical than a horse-drawn carriage to live out your Halmark-movie fantasies. But carriage rides during the holidays make the experience even better. 

Here’s where to ride in a carriage in North Texas. 

Deerfield 

When: Dec. 1 - 30
Parking: Citizens Church (formerly named Legacy Church), Plano
Cost: $225-465

NorthStar Carriages is once again bringing holiday magic to Plano with their tours through Deerfield. Guests can choose from a range of options depending on budget and the number of passengers. 

Feel free to bring some cozy blankets and warm drinks on the ride while the horses lead the way through the many lights in the neighborhood. Guests are asked to park at Citizens Church, where the carriage will pick up passengers.

Highland Park 

When: Dec. 16 - 26
Parking: The Transwestern Building, Dallas
Cost: $50-300

Create unforgettable memories this holiday season by taking an enchanting ride through the intricately adorned neighborhoods of Highland Park aboard a charming horse-drawn carriage. Complimentary parking is available in the Transwestern Building's parking garage. Locate the designated guest parking spaces at the garage of the Transwestern Building. This year, all carriages will feature Bluetooth speakers. Bring along your favorite holiday tunes for a festive and musical ride.

Each evening the Transwestern Building will host Sugar & Sage Bakery + Coffee. Indulge in their offerings of hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee and delightful baked goods, available for purchase.

Whitehaven 

When: Dec. 7 - 25
Parking: Shops of Highland Park, Dallas
Cost: $665-1000

Explore the residential charm of Highland Park as you traverse the enchanting streets. The route includes prominent roads such as Lomo Alto, Armstrong, Douglas and Versailles near Flippen Park, along with the surrounding streets. Each tour may vary slightly based on traffic conditions and the pace of our horse.

Make sure to stop by the Candy Shoppette during check-in. While supplies last, guests can purchase freeze-dried candy in the shop, adding a sweet touch to the experience. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, snacks, drinks with lids and holiday spirit. 

Azalea District

When: Nov. 24 - Dec. 31
Parking: Bergfeld Park, Tyler
Cost: Must call for options


Cowboys Carriages proudly presents the return of horse-drawn carriages in Tyler, Texas, situated behind Bergfeld Park Join the fun from Wednesday to Sunday evenings, between 5  and 9 p.m., for a delightful carriage ride.

Frisco Square

Frisco Square Property Owners Association, in collaboration with the City of Frisco, presents North Texas's most extensive choreographed holiday lights and music show. Celebrating its 19th anniversary, Christmas in the Square is back with even more delightful surprises this year — including horse-drawn carriages. Rides are available for $15 per person or $12 for parties of four or more.
