Texas Shines Bright:- A Tribute to Big Tex

This year, as part of the 2025 theme, the State Fair of Texas is unveiled the “Texas Shines Bright” commemorative art, a tribute to the fair’s iconic ambassador, Big Tex. Known for his towering 55-foot frame and welcoming smile, Big Tex has long represented the spirit of Texas. This year’s art, designed by Texas native Silvia Skinner, captures Big Tex standing tall and shining bright, reaching out across the state. The piece reflects not only his larger-than-life presence but also the heart of Texas hospitality.

“Each year, the State Fair of Texas tells a story of pride, tradition and the unmistakable spirit of our great state,” said Mitchell Glieber, State Fair of Texas president, in an official statement. “Big Tex is more than a symbol. This artwork is a heartfelt tribute to the Lone Star State, its people and our legendary cowboy, who reminds us all to dream big, stand tall and shine bright.”
