The town of Prosper will host its annual Veterans Day Honor Run on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Frontier Park, located at 1551 W. Frontier Parkway.
This year’s expanded event will feature a 5K, a 10K and a fun run, inviting runners and walkers of all ages to honor the nation’s veterans. Participants, including families and individuals with mobility devices, are encouraged to show support for Prosper’s tribute to military service.
“This event truly captures the spirit of Prosper — a community that values service, love of country, and respect for our nation’s heroes,” said Mayor David Bristol in an official statement. Bristol will lead the opening ceremony, kicking off a day dedicated to honoring veterans and celebrating community. Proceeds from the run will go toward the Veterans Memorial planned for Frontier Park, a project supported by the Prosper Rotary.
The event will begin with the opening ceremony followed by the 10K race, then the 5K and conclude with the fun run. A medal ceremony at the Frontier Park pavilion will close the day’s activities. Community members are invited to support the event by registering online or joining as spectators.
