As Collin County continues to grow, there becomes a need for more mass transit options for the region’s residents and employees. Plano is home to several headquarters and regional offices, including JCPenney, Frito Lay and Keurig Dr Pepper.

Earlier this month, City of Plano officials met to discuss the Plano Tomorrow plan, a plan designed to accommodate the anticipated growth Plano is expected to see over the course of the next 20 years.

Parents, children and caregivers, rejoice! A brand new park suited for everyone is set to open this fall. Construction on Windhaven Meadows Park is nearing completion and it is slated to open by early fall.

Over the course of the next 20 years, Plano is expected to grow considerably, in terms of business and population.

And that’s the whole point. Let’s just say you’ve probably glanced over this location one, two, maybe even 300 times. It’s bigger than the miniscule Barnes and Noble in the Legacy West shopping center, but smaller than Collin County.

As Plano and Collin County continue to grow in population and economic activity, municipal elections draw more eyes, more votes, more money and more divisiveness.
