Wine lovers, rejoice — The Capital Grille’s beloved summer event, The Generous Pour, is back for its 17th year in North Texas. This year’s theme, Icons of the Vine, celebrates legacy and innovation in winemaking.
Running now through Aug. 31, the annual wine-tasting experience offers guests the rare chance to sample six exceptional wines from some of California’s most iconic producers, all for just $45 with the purchase of a dinner entrée.
From a custom Atlas Peak Cabernet to an on-premise-only merlot by Orin Swift, the lineup is curated to elevate your evening, whether you’re pairing it with the restaurant’s famed dry-aged steaks or fresh seafood.
Six Wines, Six Stories
Each wine in this year’s lineup offers its own personality, selected by The Capital Grille’s sommeliers to deliver variety, complexity and seasonal flair:
- The Language of Yes “Les Fruits Rouges” Rosé — Bursting with watermelon and tropical fruit, this easy-drinking rosé is summer in a glass.
- Rombauer Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc — Mouthwatering acidity with notes of grapefruit, kiwi and key lime make this a crisp crowd-pleaser.
- Rombauer Vineyards Chardonnay — Aromas of peach and melon meet creamy vanilla and citrus on the finish.
- J Vineyards Pinot Noir — A layered red with hints of cherry, rose petal and a touch of oak.
- Orin Swift “Advice from John” Merlot — A bold and velvety newcomer exclusive to The Capital Grille.
- Jayson by Pahlmeyer “The Bench” Cabernet Sauvignon — Rich with dark fruit and elegant cocoa-like tannins.

A New Twist: Win a Private Chef-Curated Dinner
This year’s Generous Pour comes with a new bonus — a chance to win a private dinner for up to five guests, hosted in your local Capital Grille. The experience includes a chef-curated meal, pours from this year’s featured wines and an appearance by a surprise iconic guest.
To enter, guests can visit The Capital Grille website before Aug. 31. Three grand prize winners will be selected after the promotion ends.
A Toast to Summer Traditions
“This is a special event,” The Capital Grille Managing Partner Mihn Ho told Local Profile during last year’s celebration. “You can taste each winemaker’s personality in every bottle.”
Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or just looking to enjoy a summer evening out, The Generous Pour offers a luxurious, educational tasting experience without leaving North Texas.
