Get ready, Plano — the legendary heat of Nashville hot chicken is heading your way. Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, the fast-casual chain that’s gained national fame for its fiery fowl, just announced plans to open its second Dallas-Fort Worth location in late spring or early summer 2026.

The new restaurant will land at Preston Towne Crossing, giving Plano residents a chance to sink their teeth into one of the South’s most beloved hot chicken experiences without the drive to Dallas.

A Perfect Match For Plano

Located at 2104 Preston Road, the new spot will span more than 3,000 square feet, including a roomy 734-square-foot patio. With 56 indoor seats, 50 patio seats and 38 parking spaces, there will be plenty of room to gather for lunch, dinner or a late-night chicken fix.

"Hattie B's is incredibly excited about opening at Preston Towne Crossing in Plano, which has everything we've been looking for in a new location, including great accessibility for our guests,” Hattie B's Hot Chicken Chief Development Officer Dave Oster said. “We believe the family-oriented community of Plano, coupled with its robust office market, creates an ideal setting for this fantastic new location.”

What’s On The Menu?

The menu will feature all the Hattie B’s classics that fans line up for:

  • Jumbo chicken tenders and wings
  • Fried or grilled chicken sandwich topped with coleslaw, comeback sauce and pickles
  • The new Southern salad for a lighter take
  • Heat levels that range from Southern-style (no spice) to “Shut the Cluck Up” hot

And don’t forget the Southern sides — pimento mac-and-cheese, potato salad and collard greens, plus banana pudding and peach cobbler for dessert.

For anyone who loves the flavor but not the fire, there’s also a new sweet and smoky dry rub that promises all the taste with none of the burn.

Expanding In North Texas

Hattie B’s opened its first Dallas-area location on Lemmon Avenue in Oak Lawn in October 2024. The Plano opening marks the chain’s continued expansion in North Texas, with Oster hinting at even more growth to come.

So mark your calendars, Plano. By next summer, you’ll be able to cool down with banana pudding — or test your limits with chicken so hot it just might make you sweat.
