Chip Cookies, a company known for its gourmet cookie delivery services, announced that it will be opening up its first-ever store in Plano on Nov. 4, 2023.
Located at 2401 Preston Road, the new location will offer a wide selection of warm, gooey and freshly baked cookies that can be experienced either in-store or at home through delivery.
The cookie concept’s menu is stacked with several delectable flavors, such as the classic chocolate chip, Biscoff chip, sugar chip and more.
Along with bringing sweet treats to residents in the area, Plano Chip Cookies owner Scott Coombs says that the new store will allow him to provide new employment opportunities to the city, in addition to getting the chance to establish meaningful relationships with the community at large — two prospects that Coombs is looking forward to.
“The most exciting part of this opportunity is the chance to form a deep connection with the Plano community. Everyone loves cookies,” said Coombs.
“In the future, we are hoping to establish community partnerships and work with local businesses, schools, parent-teacher associations, and assist in fundraising efforts whenever we can. We already have a spirit night at a local school lined up for later this fall.”
Founded in Utah in 2016, Chip Cookies has since been expanding into other states throughout the U.S. — including in Texas, with locations in Plano and Houston, with potential plans to open a spot in Dallas sometime in the near future, according to Coombs.
“This will be our newest location in Texas and it is a very exciting time for us as we continue to bring Chip Cookies to more places,” said Sarah Wilson, co-founder of Chip Cookies. “I am excited to see the positive impact that Scott will make on the Plano community.”
During its grand opening on Nov. 4, the new Chip Cookies Plano store will be offering complimentary cookies from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., as well as giving the first 10 individuals who show up to the event free cookies for a whole year.
