Uptown Dallas is getting a taste of the Aegean this fall. Avra Estiatorio, the celebrated Mediterranean dining destination, is set to open its first Texas location at The Crescent, the upscale mixed-use development known for luxury retail and fine dining.
The nearly 14,000-square-foot restaurant will mark a milestone for the brand, opening in time for Avra’s 25th anniversary.
“We are excited to bring the Avra experience to Dallas, a city known for its up-and-coming culinary scene,” said Nick Tsoulos, Avra Estiatorio co-owner and co-founder. “Our goal is to create a dining destination that transports guests to the idyllic shores of Greece, right here in Dallas.”
Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine, Daily from Greece

Avra is known for its dedication to authentic Greek cuisine and fresh ingredients. Seafood is flown in daily from Greece, complemented by fresh produce and time-honored recipes. The signature Avra Chips —crispy, paper-thin zucchini and eggplant — remain a menu favorite, alongside whole grilled branzino, prime steaks, lamb chops and an array of traditional dips made from family recipes.
One of Avra’s most distinctive elements is its ice display of whole fish and seafood, allowing guests to select their catch of the day. Choices include Mediterranean rarities like fagri and lithrini, as well as wild Dover sole and red snapper, all cooked to order — grilled, deboned or baked in salt — with the signature ladolemono sauce.
An Oasis-Like Design
Designed by the Rockwell Group, Avra Estiatorio Dallas promises an elegant yet inviting atmosphere, blending contemporary design with Greek heritage. The restaurant will feature private dining spaces ideal for intimate gatherings and special events, as well as The Conservatory, a lush, greenery-filled glass café that offers an oasis-like escape in the heart of Uptown.

At the center of the space is a vibrant bar designed as a social hub, serving a broad selection of wines, spirits and cocktails.
The Drinks
The wine list at Avra Dallas will spotlight top Greek winemakers gaining global recognition, alongside renowned labels from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Tuscany and Napa. The extensive spirits program features hundreds of options, including bourbons, ryes, gins, rums, tequilas and whiskies.
Cocktails nod to the flavors of Greece, with creations like the Helios Heat with mezcal and spicy mango, the Santorini with gin, cucumber and basil, and the Cyprus serpent featuring tequila and orange liqueur.

When it opens this fall, Avra Estiatorio Dallas is set to become a standout addition to the city’s growing culinary scene, delivering the sun-drenched spirit of the Greek islands to The Crescent.
