Hello Kitty Cafe Truck Rolls Into North Texas With Three Stops

The all-pink pop-up experience brings new merchandise, themed desserts and plenty of photo ops

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is making its way back to North Texas this summer, bringing exclusive treats and limited-edition merchandise to fans as part of its 2025 U.S. tour. The all-pink truck will stop in Southlake, Dallas and Arlington as it celebrates two milestones — Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary and the truck’s 10th year on the road.

Hello Kitty first appeared in Japan in 1975 and quickly became a global icon. Yet fans have long debated one question — is she actually a cat? In 2014, Sanrio’s founder Shintaro Tsuji said no, explaining that she isn’t a literal animal, just as Mickey Mouse isn’t a real mouse. A Sanrio spokesperson later clarified that Hello Kitty is designed in the motif of a cat, essentially a personification. So, cat or not-quite-cat, one thing’s certain: she’s adorable — and she’s rolling into town.

When And Where To Find It

The first stop is at Southlake Town Square on Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The truck will be parked near Rustin Park across from Nike at 285 Grand Ave.

Two weeks later, on Sept. 6, the tour heads to Dallas. Fans can find the truck at The Shops at Park Lane from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. near the lawn between Chipotle and Starbucks, 8080 Park Lane.

The final DFW appearance is Sept. 13, in Arlington. The truck will be at 3811 South Cooper St. near the ice rink and Round 1 Bowling, also from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

What’s New This Year

The truck is rolling out fresh merchandise in honor of both anniversaries. According to an official statement, shoppers can expect new thermal bottles, mugs, blankets, T-shirts, sweatshirts and Hello Kitty Cafe plush toys. Anniversary keychains and other collectibles will also be available.

Sweet offerings include giant chef cookies, five-piece macaron sets and madeleine cookies. Fans can also pick up exclusive iridescent totes created for Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary.
