Kent Rathbun Concepts announced a new direction for Hickory. The North Plano burgers and barbecue restaurant will transition into a private event space to accommodate the company’s expanding catering business throughout the DFW metroplex. The Hickory restaurant concept will open a new location in Terminal B at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport Spring of 2017.
Hickory adds to the impressive roster of catering venues that also includes the Kitchen at 6130, the Dallas Arboretum, SMU Meadows Museum, 6500 Cedar Springs, Samuel Lynn Galleries and Times Ten Cellars. With a broad geographical reach that encompasses diverse spaces, delicious food, customizable offerings and an expert events team to handle all the intricate details, the catering arm of KRC is poised to continue its growth, explore new opportunities and reach an even wider audience.
“Revenue increase over the last 12 months in our catering business has been in excess of 25 percent,” said Donna Tanner, Director of Communication. “So we’ve decided that we can better satisfy our guests and the surrounding Plano/Frisco neighborhoods by turning Hickory into a full-service event venue. We’re excited about this new direction and look forward to hosting business and social functions in our beautiful, fully-equipped space.”
In addition to expanding its locations repertoire, Kent Rathbun Concepts has introduced a new Kosher menu to its catering offerings. Selections include Smoked Fajita Grilled Chicken Nachos and Braised Beef Short Ribs with Mushroom Ragu Reduction as well as vegetarian entrees, salads and desserts. The company is committed to providing superior catering services that accommodate its clients’ dietary needs.
