Cafe and bakery chain PappaRoti announced that it will be opening up its first-ever location in Allen, Texas in the near future.
Set to open sometime in late spring (according to a spokesperson), PappaRoti’s newest establishment is tapped to be located at The Village at Allen, in the former home of a previous cupcake store, according to CultureMap Dallas.
The PappaRoti in Allen will be the chain’s third location in the Texas region, after formerly opening its doors in both Frisco and Lewisville back in October of this year.
Originating in Malaysia — where its first store opened back in 2003 — PappaRoti is renowned for its roti buns, also known as “coffee buns,” according to CultureMap Dallas.
The cafe chain’s unique pastry concoction consists of a yeast-based sweet bread that is glazed with a coffee-and-caramel icing prior to baking, resulting in a delectable treat with a crunchy outside and a rich, buttery inside (via CultureMap Dallas).
PappaRoti’s one-of-a-kind buns have garnered a cult following at the chain’s 450 global locations, on account of the pastry’s delicious blend of textures and flavors.
In addition to its signature baked good, PappaRoti also offers a variety of other flavored buns, including its Oreo Bun (roti bun with Oreo cookies, with a side of vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate sauce), Ferrero Rocher Bun (pastry topped with Ferrero Rocher), as well as rotational items such as the pistachio bun, among others.
The chain’s menu also consists of several beverages that make for perfect pairings with its food offerings, including numerous lattes, matcha tea, smoothies, milkshakes, as well as PappaRoti’s signature Karak tea — a chai beverage that is made with evaporated milk, cardamom, saffron, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Along with Allen, PappaRoti says that it also has plans of opening a new location in McKinney in the future (via CultureMap Dallas).
