Addison’s vibrant dining scene is about to get a little spicier. Mexican Sugar, the popular Latin-inspired kitchen and tequila bar, is expanding its North Texas footprint with a new location opening this fall at 4951 Belt Line Road.
The nearly 9,000-square-foot restaurant will mark a new chapter for the brand, blending its signature flavors and energetic ambiance with a fresh, elevated design tailored to the heart of Addison.
What To Expect
Guests will be welcomed by a lush courtyard before entering a space anchored by a dramatic two-sided tequila display. The interior design draws from traditional hacienda elements — think warm leather textures, hand-crafted tiles, ambient lighting and curated Latin American art. Every corner of the restaurant is designed to feel both vibrant and intimate.
“This new location feels like a homecoming in a way,” Mexican Sugar President and COO Christine Magrann said in an official statement. “We’ve had such incredible support across DFW, and we’re excited to add something fresh to Addison while staying true to the energy and flavor that guests have always loved.”
Scratch-Made, Seasonal Latin Cuisine
The kitchen at Mexican Sugar focuses on bold Latin flavors using time-honored cooking techniques and fresh, seasonal ingredients. From heirloom masa used in daily hand-pressed tortillas to freshly squeezed juices in every cocktail, every detail is intentionally crafted.
Menu highlights include chicken mole, angus skirt steak, barbacoa tacos, as well as the beloved bone-in pork chop and Spanish mussels.
Mexican Sugar’s brunch lineup offers a sweet-and-savory balance, featuring dishes like cajeta french toast, vanilla cinnamon pancakes, benedictos rancheros and the breakfast Americano. Pair any dish with a signature margarita, cava mimosa or a spicy bloody Maria for a relaxed, flavorful weekend experience.
