Vandelay Hospitality Group brings navy blue blazers and New Yorker magazine covers to Collin County with its ninth Hudson House, the clubby East Coast-inspired eatery that debuted in Highland Park in 2017.
“Frisco has been on our radar for a long time,” Hunter Pond, Vandelay founder and CEO, said in an official statement. “It’s a dynamic, fast-growing community that values quality and experience.”
When we visited last week, guests without reservations were being turned away, and the restaurant was booked full in advance.

Hudson House has built a loyal following for its raw bar, classic fare and lively atmosphere. Guests swear by the flown-in daily oysters and the famously crisp “World’s Coldest Martini.” So we started with both, along with succulent U-12 prawns, accented with a sprig of dill. All are delicious.
"We aim to bring a level of service that you'd typically see in Dallas to Collin County," server Micheal Grover, who handled our table, tells us. He knows what he's talking about: Grover is a hospitality vet who previously worked at some of the best restaurants in Dallas, including Michelin-recommended Tei-An, where he was trained in omakase and Japanese-style table service. He's very good at his job.
The plates that follow — popcorn chicken, avocado dip, fish tacos and French chicken — all hit their marks, as do the drinks.
“Frisco has been on our radar for a long time.”
Hudson House is more than another Dallas restaurant coming to Frisco; it's yet another sign that Frisco continues to grow and come into its own as a city.
“We’re thrilled to bring our signature East Coast-inspired atmosphere, raw bar and the ‘World’s Coldest Martini’ to this part of North Texas and look forward to becoming part of the neighborhood," said Pond.
