New Fusion Restaurant Opens With Valentine's Menu

Celebrate Valentine's Day at Cafe Nubia, a new modern fusion of Mediterranean and African cuisines. Cafe Nubia will celebrate their soft opening with a  Valentine’s Day dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.

The “Love & Cocktails” event will feature a four-course dinner with a glass of sparkling champagne upon arrival. Guests will also enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or a cocktail. The elegant evening will include live music from award-winning guitarist and musician, Allen Cato, and ladies will receive a rose upon entry. The all-inclusive dinner is $175 per person. 

The Valentine’s Day menu includes a starters course of Beef Suya Skewers with peanut-based spices, red onion, green peppers and tomato; and a House Greek Salad with greens, red onion, olives, artichokes, red pepper and a lemon-oregano vinaigrette.

For the main course guests can choose between Grilled Chicken Breast with charred onion, charred pepper and lemon; Greek Stone Salmon with Greek spices topped with curry cream sauce, tomato and lemon; Grilled Spicy Lamb Chops with house seasoning and spicy mint chutney; Grilled Jerk Ribeye Steak with house jerk spices and chili pepper butter; or Charred Zatar Cauliflower Steak with house zatar and lemon vinaigrette. Available sides include lemon herbs couscous, house jollof rice, smashed greek potatoes and grilled seasonal vegetables.

For dessert, there will be a deconstructed brownie with vanilla ice cream and wild berries.

Cafe Nubia is located at 3920 Rosemeade Pkwy Ste 100. Soft opening hours begin on Feb. 14 and are: Monday-Tuesday: Closed; Wednesday: 4 to 11 p.m.; Thursday: 4 p.m. to midnight; Friday: 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.; and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
