Chef Noah Hester and his wife, Lacey Hester, announced that they have purchased Downtown McKinney’s historic butcher shop, Hamm’s Meat + Market.
Lacey is a successful entrepreneur who is also the daughter of NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw. Previously, Lacey had starred in E! Entertainment’s hit show, The Bradshaw Bunch.
Noah is an award-winning chef who serves as the brand manager for Bradshaw Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, as well as the corporate chef for RNC Entertainment.
As the new proprietors of the 69-year-old North Texas market, the couple says that they will look to embrace the storied legacy of Hamm’s Meat + Market, while also utilizing Chef Noah’s culinary knowledge to reimagine the modern butcher shop experience.
“Lacey and I are honored to be entrusted with keeping Hamm’s traditions and history alive, in addition to building some of our own,” said Noah. “This store has become woven into the very fabric of our community and we hope to create an inviting place for neighbors and families just like ours to gather.”
As part of the new ownership, Noah and Lacey are incorporating a number of new implementations for the beloved butcher shop.
The first new addition to Hamm’s is that the butcher shop will be offering a wider selection of local, organic and healthy items for health-conscious patrons, including farm-raised, stress-free chicken eggs; organic local produce; and Chef Noah’s own signature sauces, to name a few.
Other new features of the shop include nutritious, take-home meal kits; as well as a new subscription service called McKinney Supper Club, which provides guests with a private dining area to host a variety of events, and are exclusively catered by Chef Noah.
Hamm’s Meat + Market is located at 307 W. Louisiana St. It is open Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
