Buc-ee's, known for its quality food, iconic beaver mascot and clean restrooms, is preparing to open its newest travel center in Luling, Texas, on Monday, June 10, 2024. Doors will open at 6 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

The new Buc-ee's in Luling will be the largest in the country, spanning over 75,000 square feet. It replaces the city's original Buc-ee's, which opened in 2003 as the brand's first family travel center.

Located at 10070 I-10, the expansive establishment will feature 120 fueling stations and offer a wide selection of snacks, meals and beverages, including Texas barbecue, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky and pastries.

Local dignitaries expected to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony include Mayor CJ Watts, former Mayor Mike Hendricks, Caldwell County Judge Hoppy Haden and Luling City Manager Mark Mayo.

Texas-based Buc-ee's expansion began in 2019, with locations now in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri and Colorado. Ground was also broken earlier this year for stores in Virginia and Mississippi.

"We are thrilled to open the world's largest Buc-ee's travel center here in Texas," said Stan Beard of Buc-ee's. "This marks a significant milestone, returning to where it all began and we look forward to celebrating with the community of Luling."

Buc-ee's Luling will create job opportunities for at least 200 individuals, offering above-minimum starting wages, full benefits, a 6% matching 401k plan and three weeks of paid vacation.
