Tanishq, a jewelry retailer based out of India, announced the opening of its brand new location in Frisco, Texas.
The 5,000-square-foot store — Tanishq’s first location in the Frisco area — offers a wide selection of 18 and 22 KT gold and diamond jewelry, with over 2,000 unique designs to choose from.
"Tanishq is a rich story that spans almost 30 years and the name was crafted in conjunction of two words. In Sanskrit, Tan — means body, and Nishq, meaning gold ornament, when combined came to signify an ornament that adds to the beauty and elegance of women," said CEO Kuruvilla Markose.
The opening in Frisco — along with Houston — comes following the brand’s initial expansion into the United States, which was marked by its flagship store that opened in Iselin, New Jersey earlier this year.
While the jewelry brand has been available online in the U.S. for almost two years, Tanishq says that the expansion will allow it to better serve Texans in the Frisco and Houston areas, offering expanded access to their line of fine jewelry products, including their one-of-a kind collections.
"With over 410 stores, we have now opened two more in the state of Texas bringing artfully crafted jewelry to the Indian diaspora residing in Houston and Frisco," Markose said. Tanishq adds that the move into the Lone Star State will also give the retailer the opportunity to connect with Texas’ Indian American community, which currently stands at over 450,000 citizens in total (the second-highest population of Indian American citizens in the United States).
"The Indian audience is spread across the United States and as we expand in effort to catering to their diverse preferences, bringing a wide range of exquisite jewelry for any occasion," said Tanishq’s Business Head of Jewelry Amrit Pal Singh.
