The Dog Stop, a leading dog care brand, announced that it will be hosting a grand opening event for its brand-new Plano location at 1937 W Parker Rd. Ste. B on Jan. 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The upcoming event is slated to offer a fun time for both canine companions and owners alike — featuring raffle baskets, contests (with prizes including free daycare for dogs and tickets to next season’s FC Dallas games), dog and human treats, as well as a tour of the facility.

The grand opening comes after the Plano location officially opened its doors to the public on Jan. 8, 2024.

Just like the brand’s other locations throughout the U.S., The Dog Stop’s first Plano facility offers a wide range of services aimed at enhancing every aspect of a dog’s life. Offerings include daily daycare and year-round boarding, a full-service grooming spa, training classes, as well as a retail store full of toys and nutritional foods.

At the helm of the new Plano venture are owners David and Leigh Ann Dishman. As residents of Plano for 20 years, the Dishmans were inspired to head the new location out of a passion for high-quality dog care that the pair shared. By bringing The Dog Stop to the area, the entrepreneurial duo aim to provide exemplary service to the many dogs and owners that make up the Plano community.

"The Dog Stop's comprehensive approach to pet care perfectly suits our community's needs,” said David. “As lifelong dog owners ourselves, we understand the importance of a dedicated space that caters to every aspect of a dog’s requirements. This venture allows us to extend our heartfelt care to fellow pet owners, bringing them the exceptional and trustworthy pet care they deserve.”

Jesse Coslov, CEO and co-founder of The Dog Stop, said that establishing the Plano facility will help provide much-needed services in the area that were not in high supply beforehand.

“We are eager to partner with the Dishman family to bring The Dog Stop to the Plano area,” said Coslov. “We are committed to filling a gap in the community for reliable, high-quality boarding and other dog care services, and providing a level of care that Plano and the surrounding area can trust.”
