Let’s Roll: The Sicilian Butcher Expands To North Dallas With Signature Meatballs

The Sicilian Butcher, a modern-casual Italian restaurant celebrated for its meatballs, house-made pastas and scratch-butchered fare, is officially expanding to North Dallas.

Slated to open Aug. 7 at 5225 Belt Line Rd. #240, this will be the brand’s second Texas outpost, following a successful debut in Fort Worth last summer.

From Sicily to Dallas: A Legacy of Flavor

Founded in Arizona in 2017 by award-winning chef Joey Maggiore, The Sicilian Butcher is deeply rooted in family tradition. Joey’s father, chef Tomaso, left Sicily at age 20 to chase the American Dream, building a culinary empire of more than 50 restaurants and earning a James Beard Award along the way.

Joey grew up immersed in the kitchen, inspired by his father's culinary skills and their family's cooking traditions. That early exposure led him to build a successful career, now spanning seven original restaurant concepts.

“The Sicilian Butcher is an ode to his father — a celebration of heritage and hospitality,” the restaurant’s website reads. “It’s our privilege to share it with you.”

What to Expect: Build-Your-Own Italian Classics

North Dallas diners can look forward to the restaurant’s signature build-your-own dining experience. Whether it’s mix-and-match pastas, towering Sicilian bruschetta boards, or a meatball "wheel" featuring varieties like sausage, eggplant and classic Sicilian, the concept blends traditional comfort with hands-on fun.

And it doesn’t stop at dinner. Each Sicilian Butcher location comes paired with The Sicilian Baker, an Italian dessert shop featuring a build-your-own cannoli bar — because no meal is truly complete without a little sweetness.

A Welcome Addition to North Texas’ Dining Scene

Located just a few hops from the Addison border, The Sicilian Butcher adds a vibrant new option to the area's already diverse restaurant mix (and much closer for Collin County diners than Fort Worth). Whether you’re a meatball purist or just in it for the cannoli, come hungry — and bring friends. With its shareable platters, family-style meals and lively, laid-back energy, this new spot was made for gathering.

Opening day is August 7. Let the meatball madness begin.
