Opening Day Set For Pickleball Kingdom In Plano, Texas

As the pickleball phenomenon continues to grow, the highly anticipated Pickleball Kingdom will officially welcome guests on April 26, 2024.

According to Arizona-based Pickleball Kingdom, the new 45,000 sq. ft. location will feature 15 indoor courts, four interactive dink simulators, a championship court, live courtside video, a lounge and a pro shop.

For die-hard players, Pickleball Kingdom offers a range of membership options, including single or family memberships. But if you’re new to the sport, Pickleball Kingdom offers a free pickleball 101 class to learn the fundamentals.

The national pickleball brand is partnering with newly-announced franchisee and Dallas businessman Dan Jenkins to bring the "Kingdom experience" to the residents and visitors of the North Texas city.

"I am honored to join forces with Pickleball Kingdom and bring their unrivaled indoor pickleball experience to my home city," Jenkins previously said in a statement.

Pickleball Kingdom opened the doors of its first location in Chandler, Arizona, back in May 2022, and since has expanded. But Plano isn’t the only city preparing to welcome the brand. Pickleball Kingdom is set to open locations in Keller, Fort Worth, Irving and at the Dallas Galleria in the next year.

"I'm excited to provide top-notch facilities for players of all skill levels, including beginners,” Jenkins said. “With Pickleball Kingdom's proven track record and commitment to excellence, I am confident that our Dallas clubs' members and visitors will agree with Pickleball Kingdom's value statement of, 'Life is better with Pickleball.'"

Jenkins is also set to be featured as a speaker at TEDx Plano on Saturday, April 6. Tickets are on sale now for TEDxPlano 2024, with this year’s theme: Together We Go.
