The pickleball sensation is continuing to grow in North Texas, and soon, the 242-acre mixed-use development, Frisco Station, will join the fun.
Pickle and Social, a premier pickleball venue boasting both indoor and outdoor courts, will be joined by Fairway Social, an entertainment hub offering cutting-edge simulators showcasing 130 golf courses and 10 additional sports experiences suitable for guests of all ages. Also at the venue will be live entertainment, food options, drinks, cornhole, beach volleyball and ping-pong.
According to Frisco Enterprise, construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2024 and is expected to open in spring 2025.
Pickle and Social is an innovative initiative by Competitive Social Ventures (CSV), a Georgia-based company. CSV is in the process of establishing pickleball facilities across the U.S., with locations already operating in Houston, Scottsdale, Arizona, Louisville, Kentucky, Tampa, Florida, Greenville, South Carolina and two venues in Atlanta. Frisco Station will serve as the inaugural destination in the U.S. to offer Pickle and Social alongside Fairway Social.
“Frisco has its first premier venue for pickleball, the fastest-growing sport in the world, and the space is the perfect place to host prestigious pickleball tournaments in the future,” Trey Sibley, general manager of Frisco Station developer The Rudman Partnership, said in a statement. “These two offerings are just the beginning of the entertainment we’ll bring to Frisco Station.”
The Frisco Station development features fully amenitized office space and residential and hotel properties surrounding the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters, The Star. Crafted with a forward-thinking vision, Frisco Station will incorporate essential infrastructure to foster an atmosphere conducive to innovation, active participation and collaborative endeavors.
“Frisco Station is a new kind of mixed-use development built from the ground up using a next-generation telecommunications platform to enable real-time connectivity through each of the three foundational pillars: smart, creative, healthy,” a statement from Frisco Station developers read. “It’s where the best and brightest come together to enjoy a higher quality of life, improved productivity and strong community.”
