Plano’s shopping destination, Legacy West, is preparing to welcome an iconic name in American luxury fashion: Ralph Lauren. Known for its timeless style and upscale aesthetic, the brand is expanding its brick-and-mortar presence in North Texas with a new store set to open soon in the heart of one of Plano’s most vibrant mixed-use developments.
The forthcoming store will be adjacent to Lucid Motors and surrounded by other high-end retailers like Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Tory Burch. This move strengthens Legacy West’s growing reputation as a luxury shopping destination for Collin County.
A spokesperson for Ralph Lauren confirmed the Legacy West location to Local Profile. “We will have more details to share in the coming weeks,” said Ralph Lauren Corporate Communications Sr. Associate Isabella Campione.
A Strategic Move for the Brand
According to the Dallas Business Journal, the new Plano store comes as Ralph Lauren shifts its Dallas location from Highland Park Village to the Knox-Henderson area, taking over the former Sur La Table space on Cole Avenue. The brand’s expansion reflects broader trends in consumer demand for high-end retail experiences beyond traditional city centers.
Demand for Luxury in the Suburbs

Since opening in 2017, Legacy West has evolved into a magnet for upscale dining, shopping and lifestyle experiences. The addition of Ralph Lauren adds cachet to a center that is already a destination for both visitors and residents of Collin County.
The region's appetite for luxury retail is growing, and Plano’s rapidly expanding population and economic profile make it a natural choice for high-end brands looking beyond traditional urban markets.
Momentum in the Market
The move is backed by strong numbers. Ralph Lauren reported an 8% increase in comparable store sales in North America during its fiscal third quarter, signaling a healthy appetite for in-store luxury shopping even as digital sales remain strong.
"We are encouraged by this quarter's strong performance,” said Ralph Lauren President and CEO Patrice Louvet said in an official statement, “and we continue to be sharply focused on what's ahead for Ralph Lauren: leveraging the incredible power of our brand and diverse drivers of growth to stay on offense into the next year and beyond.”
