The Frisco Fire Department officially opened its 10th fire station, a response to the city's rapid population growth. Strategically located near the emerging Fields development, the new station is designed to meet the area's rising demand for public safety services.
On June 30, 2025, the Frisco Fire Department held a grand opening ceremony for Fire Station 10, welcoming residents and city leaders to the new facility. City council members joined staff in introducing the station to the community, participating in a traditional hose uncoupling and a ceremonial push-in of Engine 10. Following the festivities, attendees were invited to tour the station, located at 2151 Fields Parkway, just west of Teel Parkway.
Keeping Pace with Growth

Just down the road, a new era of luxury living is taking shape. Once just an empty stretch of land marked by a dusty road, the 2,500-acre Fields development is now a sweeping master-planned community that embodies both the region’s rapid growth and its deep local roots.
Positioned along major transportation corridors and neighboring the PGA of America headquarters, as well as the upcoming Universal Kids Resort, Fields is designed to be more than a neighborhood — it’s a new hot spot for the region.
“When this project is completed… the rest of the country is going to come here to view this as the case study for how you build a community,” Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney previously said. “I believe there's been nothing like this done in the entire country, and it may never be done again to be able to blend all these elements.”
A New Destination

Fields signals a shift in how companies evaluate location, with quality of life now a central factor for attracting and retaining talent. A prime example is Fields West, the 55-acre “big sister” development to Legacy West. Once completed, it will feature 350,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, 325,000 square feet of office, 1,200 multifamily units and plans for 375 hotel rooms.
With projections estimating more than $400 million in annual sales and purchases citywide, Fields West is poised to become a major economic driver for Frisco. Its presence also adds even more appeal to the growing number of residents choosing to live in and around the Fields area, where public safety is keeping up with the pace.
