Plano's Darna Mediterranean Eatery Unveils New Name And Menu

Plano’s premium Mediterranean oasis announces a subtle yet meaningful transformation

The Euro-Mediterranean bazaar in Plano, Darna Mediterranean Eatery and Market, is making changes. Darna Mediterranean Eatery and Bar the Legacy West restaurant changed their name and updated their menu.

"I believe that evolution is essential in any culinary journey. At Darna especially, we've always chosen to embrace change because we believe it is the essence of growth and improvement,” said Yaser Khalaf, owner of Darna and CEO of Yela Concepts. “The new features align with our vision to be more than just a restaurant; we want to be the heart of cherished moments and truly craft an environment where food becomes a shared experience, so we are confident that guests will love the new features as much as we do.”

Included in the revamp is a redesigned menu offering a range of new entrees and cocktails alongside some of Darna’s classic favorites:

New food features include a Tunisian beet salad with wild arugula, roasted purple and yellow beets, pinked onion, orange segments, mint, pistachio and herbed goat cheese, as well as a seafood paella with mediterranean vegetables, lamb sausage, scallops, salmon and shrimp. There will also be a range of Sicilian Square Pizzas in flavors such as margherita, beef pepperoni, chicken pesto and mediterranean vegetables.

In addition to the new menu features, Darna also introduced a new happy hour menu that offers $1 pizza slices per drink from the cocktail, beer, wine and mocktail menu Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

New feature cocktails include the Garden of Gibraltar made with Tito’s Vodka, St Germain, lime, cucumber, Mediterranean spice and fresh herbs; the Amalfi Punchmade with Bacardi Superior Rum, pineapple, lime, orange, pomegranate and mint; and the Sicilian Spritz made with Aperol, Caravella Limoncello, Prosecco and Fever Tree Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade.

The restaurant will be pivoting from market and to-go offerings and now prioritizing a more immersive, social dining experience. The Turkish coffee bar and to-go pastries will remain available. To make a reservation call (469) 825-4110 or click here to order.
